As the diva floats out of the deepness on the stage to the top, and stands elegantly in a black dress in front of the people, the jubilation is indescribable. Streisand gets the first Standing Ovation of this evening. She greets her audience and her exquisitely friendly smile gleams over the screen. Then she begins to sing: 'Starting here, starting now."

At first her voice is quiet, but warm and a little deeply, as you know her from her Cd's. But soon it becomes powerful and ends naturally with a Streisand typical fortissimo which does not miss the effect. Big applause and again some people stand up from their seats. But Streisand turns now to the public with a comment to the terrible weather, than she speaks a few words in German.

Jolly, but sweet: ..." ich frrreue misch, ich bin glluuckklich. Yes, the German pronunciation is not easy.

It is a very cooler, uncomfortable evening and the people wear lighter summer dress (until 18:00 o'clock it was 25 ) shiver under the rain capes. Consistent with the black clouds over the place Barbra sings her jazz stressed "Come rain or come shine". Standing on top of the stage, her dress flaps at the intensive crosswind. She notices that she must think of the wind machine of the Broadway and harvests laughter. The long hairs wafts her unswervingly to her face. She easily discards than sidewards and the close-up on the screen show her being so relaxed in her element as if there was golden sunshine around her.

The musical program moves on. She sings, she tells and speaks charmantly again and again to the people. Who are listening fascinated. She changes from seriousness to humor or self-mockery. She has all on her side. Barbra Streisand is a curious magic composition of "great and nearly unreal diva", and a completely close person" a friend you know for a long time. Whatever, if so much naturalness is played or also not: she appears completely real, she shines heart warmth and great intimacy. A lough she is nearly inexplicable way and is attractive. On the video wall one can specifically watch how much she lives her songs (or play?) Her facial expression is perfectly in the harmony with the words and with the melody of the songs. In addition there comes her still miraculous voice and to sing her unmistakable, individual kind. It could be immediately filmed, even completely uncut and you would have a high-class DVD. Indeed she had (not visual) at the background her 58 musicians, but with the mostly quit ballads the orchestra sound remains discreet and the whole image has a very warm, intimate character.

Barbra sang in these evening more than twenty songs, accompanied by a great 58-headed orchestra. She entertained, relaxed very lovable, her audience. Tastes of her charismatic voice were omnipresent during two hours. Nevertheless, was these Streisand how was no 'big opulent show' witch maybe some visitors had expected for true high ticket prices. Streisand's years of the storm and impulse are over she must be proved nothing more. But she gave the hopeful audience an evening of big and exciting intensity. At Michel Legrand's famous ballad "What are you doing the rest of your life" had she somnambulistic, fragile notes. It was after a short break just the second part of the concert in with she pulled the people with quiet, thoughtfully tuning and also a little in her spell. Every song had his own harmonious highlight. So became "Papa, can you hear me" an intimate feeling study nearly "tear-moving", but although with so much style security performed, that you can't feel embarrassment. Also the new song "Unusual Way" she sings with incredible passion. A lot of soul balsam but just, therefore also a highlight of the evening. The vocal, age-conditioned deficiencies at times in the difficult, highly dramatic passages Of this song appear, can she good conceal with excellent methods.

After a lot of serious compositions, there is then still a cool gig: The stormy "pur streisandeske" Reprise from "Don't rain on my parade" warranted frenetically jubilations. Under rushing applause and standing ovations sinks La Streisand"in the depth of the stage. Of course she is banged with inspiring shouts again upwards. Then she sings the wistful Chaplin song "Smile". This addition was already included. A spontaneous improvisation genius has never been Streisand, at least on the stage. And so sounds the evening still contemplative. Many people are ran forwards now. Close packed they stand in the stage to be close to the glorious diva, but maybe more of the "person" Streisand.

Barbra bends over the edge of stage. She bows, is glad, thanks over and over again and waves to the audience. Then she glides slowly with upraised arms in the invisible, and also applause lasting several minutes doesn't bring she back.
